What? You don't have anything planned yet? If you happen to live in Jefferson County or somewhere around Central Alabama, here's your ultimate list of Independence Day events and 4^th of July fireworks near you for 2022.

Spring cleaning season is almost upon us, and many of you out there are going to be looking to purge some of the stuff you don’t need. You could just take it all to Goodwill, but that involves the hassle of loading it up in your Nissan Rogue (or whatever car you own) and driving it to the nearest location.

Catalytic converter theft isn’t a new phenomenon. Most years, a couple thousand of these exhaust emission control devices are stolen throughout the US. However, that number has increased about 400% since 2019 – and there’s seemingly no end in sight, as it’s becoming more common not just here in Alabama but all across the country.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas (lights) here in Central Alabama. From the quaint cul-de-sacs of Hoover to the businesses and car dealerships lining Birmingham’s 3^rd Avenue, it seems like everyone’s getting into the holiday spirit early this year.

So, why not join them and have yourself a holly, jolly Christmas? It’s the best time of the year. We’re pretty sure we won’t get snow, but your holiday light show tour can still bring loads of cheer. (In other words, add these festive homes and locations to your route this holiday…

There’s a myth that all-wheel-drive vehicles are better than FWD or RWD. Why, then, are about 75% of all Alabama drivers rocking 2WD cars? It can’t be a coincidence that 2 million people in the state are choosing rear-wheel or front-wheel drive if AWD is the best.

It’s not. Without snow and ice – or without much of it – our state isn’t prime AWD territory. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean Birmingham drivers should toss all-wheel drive to the side. In certain situations, an AWD SUV might be a better option.

Christmas is usually a magical time of the year, with much fun and anticipation in the atmosphere. Although we’re enduring difficult times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, getting out to see Christmas lights in 2020 is sure to bring a sense of normality, maybe even joy. There are plenty of places in the Birmingham area to view Christmas light displays from the safety of your car or from wherever you’re comfortable, so we’ve compiled a few of our favorites below.
